How microneedling actually builds collagen
When the 1NEED PRO cartridge passes across your skin, the 14 needles create thousands of microscopic punctures into the superficial dermis - the layer where collagen lives. Your body interprets each puncture as a small wound and starts the natural healing cascade: platelet release of growth factors, fibroblast migration, collagen synthesis. The new collagen lays down over the next 4 to 12 weeks.
The serum I drive into the channels during treatment amplifies this cascade. PDGF, exosomes, and polynucleotides are signaling molecules that tell your skin to repair faster and more completely.
When microneedling is and is not the right tool
Microneedling is excellent for: general skin quality, fine lines, mild texture irregularities, post-acne marks (the dark spots that stay after a breakout), and stretch marks with patience.
Microneedling is not the right tool for: deep static wrinkles (those need filler or biostimulator), severe acne scarring (often needs subcision or fractional laser combined), deep melasma (peels and tranexamic acid usually serve better), or skin tightening of significant laxity (RF microneedling or non-surgical tightening serve better).
