Serving the Washington Avenue Corridor Area

Aesthetic Treatments Near the Washington Avenue Corridor

The Washington Avenue Corridor runs through 77007, south and a touch east of us. It is the part of town built for going out - the restaurants, the bars, the rows of newer apartments full of people in their late twenties and thirties. From most of the corridor, MV Medical Aesthetics is a short run north. Get on Shepherd or Durham and follow it up into the Heights to 24th Street. We sit right there at 2401 N. Shepherd, on the corner, just south of I-610. Figure six or seven minutes.

A lot of the people I see from Washington share one thing. There is something coming up. A wedding, a reunion, a big work event, a weekend they have been looking forward to. They want to walk in looking like themselves on a good day. I get it. That goal is reasonable, and most of what I do here is built around it - as long as we leave enough runway, which I will be honest with you about.

Parking

Free covered parking is in the lot directly under the building. Use the entrance off 24th Street and take the elevator up to Suite 229. After hunting for street parking along Washington, this part tends to feel easy.

How Washington Avenue Corridor patients get to us

From the Washington Avenue Corridor you are heading north. Get yourself onto Shepherd or Durham - they run as a one-way pair - and stay on it up through the Heights toward 24th Street. We are at 2401 N. Shepherd, right on the corner of 24th and Shepherd, just south of I-610. If you are on Durham coming up, slide over to Shepherd a block or two before 24th. From most of 77007 it lands around six to seven minutes when traffic behaves.

What Washington Avenue Corridor patients book most

The corridor is close enough that I see Washington Avenue regulars between work and dinner, or on a slow Saturday morning before the neighborhood wakes up. Most come in for Jeuveau or Dysport, Restylane or Evolysse filler, lip filler, dermaplaning, or a Mermaid Facial before something on the calendar. I run a single-injector practice, so the person who plans your treatment is the person who sees you back. Same hands, same notes, every visit.

A few things worth knowing if you are coming from Washington:

  • The honest version on timing - neurotoxin like Jeuveau and Dysport takes a few days to start and roughly two weeks to fully settle. If you have an event, book about two weeks ahead, not two days. Last minute rarely does you any favors.
  • Filler, including lip filler, can swell or bruise for a few days. For a wedding or a shoot, give it a couple of weeks to look like the real result.
  • A Mermaid Facial or dermaplaning gives you a quicker glow with much less downtime - better picks when the event is close.
  • Shepherd and Durham run one-way and feed straight to our corner, so the drive up is simple even when Washington itself is busy.
  • Parking is free and covered, under the building, entrance off 24th. No circling the block.

Common questions from Washington Avenue Corridor patients

How far is MV from the Washington Avenue Corridor?
About six to seven minutes for most of 77007. You head north up Shepherd or Durham into the Heights to 24th Street, and we are right on the corner at 2401 N. Shepherd. Traffic on Washington can add a minute or two, but the run up is usually quick.
I have an event coming up. How far ahead should I book neurotoxin?
Plan for about two weeks. Jeuveau and Dysport start working in a few days but take roughly two weeks to fully settle, so a same-week appointment before a big night is cutting it close. If your event is only a few days out, dermaplaning or a Mermaid Facial is a better call - quick glow, little downtime.
What about filler before a wedding or a shoot?
Same idea, give it room. Filler, including lip filler, can swell or bruise for a few days and looks most like the real result after a couple of weeks. I would rather you book a couple of weeks ahead than rush it and spend your event hiding a bruise.
Where do I park?
Free covered parking is in the lot directly under the building. Use the entrance off 24th Street and take the elevator up to Suite 229. No street parking needed - which after Washington is a small relief.
What services do you offer?
Neurotoxins (Jeuveau and Dysport), dermal fillers (Restylane, Evolysse, and lip filler), biostimulators (Sculptra, Renuva), PromoItalia microneedling and the Mermaid Facial, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and medical weight loss. Each has its own page on this site if you want the details. I work alongside our medical director, Danna Qunibi, MD.
